Formerly known as Ruby Falls the party was brought to fine art museums throughout New York City. Now, at the beginning of the 21st Century, we are bringing fine art to 'the party' at Ruby Falls Fine Art Gallery." Mission thus stated, Ruby Falls has taken over the mantle of "place to be seen" from nearby Marquee, and features ongoing art openings in the airplane hangar-sized space, with immense skylight running the length of the room overhead. The available natural light is complementary to the gallery, which is open during the day, and makes for a welcoming place for an early evening event when a dark nightclub doesn't seem right. The clientele is more on the hip side than many nearby clubs that cater to the commuter crowd, and events like the Gene Simmons album release party fill the place with downtown types and entertainment industry people. The scope of the art seems to stay in the realm of pop. That's understandable, considering Sol answer to the question, "Which came first, the party or the art?"
