Braided line was used before the invention of mono or flouro was ever created,so if you maintain your gear as you should,and rinse it in freshwater after use,you should have no problems.Braided line is meant for conventional reels,like baitcaster style reels,not spinning reels.I suppose you could use it on one,but not the best choice for it.Most people use mono on a saltwater spinning reel.Like I said,whatever line you use rinsing it in freshwater afterwards will help avoid corrosion to the parts and lengthen it's life.
