Formerly Porky’s--a rowdy bar named after the ‘80s teen flick--this Flatiron-area spot has grown up and matured into The Yard. The new theme is meant to stimulate memories of backyard barbecues from your childhood. But if you miss the rambunctious atmosphere of the old Porky’s, don’t worry: You’ll still feel like you need a scrub with steel wool by last call. Billed as the “birthday, bachelorette and bachelor party headquarters,” it’s not uncommon to find fist-pumping dudes buying rounds of cheap drinks for cliques of tipsy tiara-wearing women looking to have a good time.
